Last updated 2025/04/30.
Clarified autoclickers in build / dev mode, re-added punishment threshold. Reformatted rules page, clarified gambling / drugs and how we moderate plots.

If there are problems with this page, please ask us for further assistance.

Overview

These guidelines cover server rules, forum rules, and the support system:

We've tried to make these as comprehensive as possible, but we still might issue punishments for behaviour not listed on this page. If this happens (and the problem is significant), we'll try to update this page to cover it.

Do keep in mind that we enforce the spirit of these rules, not the letters. Nit-picking the wording doesn't invalidate them, and we won't accept appeals relying on this.

When 20 punishments have been received within the span of a year, a substantial temporary ban or mute will be issued, regardless of the severity of the last punishment.

§1 Chat

  • 1.1 Spam (Warning – Mute): No message(s) which are disruptive (e.g. repeating characters / phrases, using special fonts / non-latin characters, copy-pastas, capitalisation or gibberish) are allowed.
  • 1.2 Plot Advert Misuse (Warning): No off-topic plot adverts (i.e. funneling people to another game, asking people to unignore you, or getting a non-plot-related message across) are allowed.
  • 1.3 Filter Bypass (Warning - Mute): No circumvention of the chat filter is permitted. This includes words we don't have blocked, but are still vulgar or offensive.
  • 1.4 Behavior (Warning – Ban): Harassment or harmful behavior.
    • 1.4a Toxicity (Warning – Ban): Creating a negative or disruptive atmosphere (e.g. continually pushing limits of allowed content, disrespecting or targetting other players, or making unsolicited / controvertial comments)
    • 1.4b Hackusation (Warning): Falsely accusing another player of cheating.
    • 1.4c Mini-Modding (Warning): Trying to act as a moderator, while one is online.
    • 1.4d Begging (Warning): Asking other players to buy something, do something rank-exclusive or be given permissions on a plot.
    • 1.4e Mute Bypass (Temp Ban – Ban): Communicating while being muted (i.e. plots using @ for chat, signs, maps or building text). This is usually for the length remaining on the mute.
  • 1.5 Banned Topics (Warning – Mute): Politics, religion, explicit / vulgar subjects, discrimination, violence or other dark / controversial topics.
  • 1.6 Server Advertising (Warning – Ban): No advertising other servers (IPs, invites), excluding Discord servers dedicated to a game or a specific creator's games. Stating the name of other servers is allowed, but advertising DiamondFire where it is unwelcome isn't.

§2 Hacking

  • 2.1 Blacklisted Modifications (Temp Ban – Ban): No client modifications granting unfair advantages.
    • 2.1a Combat Hacking (Temp Ban - Ban): Mods giving unfair advantages in combat (i.e. reach, aimbot, killaura)
    • 2.1b Movement Hacking (Temp Ban - Ban): Mods allowing you to move, outside of what the vanilla client allows (e.g. flight speed changing, flying, spider, blink)
    • 2.1c Info Mods (Temp Ban - Ban): Mods displaying more information than vanilla (minimaps, health indicators, visible invisibility, visible barriers, detecting vanished players). Resource packs can also fall under this rule, if they give an advantage over vanilla.
    • 2.1d Automation Mods (Temp Ban - Ban): Mods which automate the vanilla client, which haven't been given approval (e.g. Baritone, noteblock players)

Informational mods and automation mods are typically allowed while in build or dev mode on a plot. This includes the use of autoclickers.

Some movement mods which don't give an advantage are use-at-your-own-risk. For example, controller mods which don't let you move faster than vanilla (without aimbot), or VR mods with any teleporting functionality disabled.

  • 2.2 Autoclicking (Temp Ban): No external macros or exploits can click on your behalf. This includes objects on your mouse, or features such as F3+T.
  • 2.3 Malicious Items (Temp Ban): No items which could crash or damage the server.

§3 Plot Content

  • 3.1 Inappropriate Content (Warning – Ban): No builds, signs, items, or code with inappropriate content.
  • 3.2 Exchanges for Content:
    • 3.2a Charging for Content (Temp Ban – Ban): No trading plot content for any goods, services or financial gain outside approved systems.
Plot content includes, but is not limited to:
      • Items
      • In-Game Currency
      • Build / Dev Access
      • Unbans
Goods and services includes, but is not limited to:
      • DiamondFire Products (Plot Sponsorships, Ranks, Plots, etc)
      • Items or in-game currencies on DiamondFire (including plots), other Minecraft servers, or other games
      • Voting for a plot
    • 3.2b Voting Rewards (Temp Ban - Ban): No rewards for people who vote for, boost or sponsor a plot.
  • 3.3 Plot Griefing (Temp Ban – Ban): No vandalizing another's plot build or code. This doesn't include builds when it's part of the game - e.g. a survival.
  • 3.4 Plagiarism (Warning – Temp Ban): No copying others' builds or code without permission.
  • 3.5 Bad Neighbor (Warning – Temp Ban): No disruptive builds or lag machines are allowed.
  • 3.6 Minecraft Usage Guidelines (Temp Ban – Ban): Content must follow the Minecraft usage guidelines (no gambling, adult content, terrorism, etc.).

As as rule of thumb, we do not allow any real-world gambling on DiamondFire. This includes recreations of real-world gambling games (e.g. roulette tables or casinos of any kind), and anything which functionally resembles gambling (e.g. working slot machines, even if outside of a casino context).

We also don't allow drugs on DiamondFire, excluding alcohol when it has no positive effects (like Sea of Thieves).

Plots with gamble, gambling, drug(s) etc in the title or description are also considered inappropriate.

If your plot needs moderation action, it may be transferred to one of the server admins. We'll transfer the plot back when it's in line with the rules, but sometimes we'll hang on to it if the content is deemed wholly unacceptable.

§4 Content Exploitation

  • 4.1 Support Session Abuse: Misusing sessions will remove your ability to request support. See the support guidelines for more information.
  • 4.2 Exploits (Warning – Ban): No using or sharing glitches / exploits that harm the server or players.
  • 4.3 Report Abuse (Temp Ban - Ban): No fake reports, forged evidence or misusing the /report command.
  • 4.4 Alternate Account Abuse (Temp Ban – Ban): No using alternate accounts to evade punishments or gain an advantage.

Exploits include, but are not limited to, item duplication glitches, plot-trapping loops, and client or server crashing bugs. However, well-known exploits (mostly just block glitching) are permitted and up to plot owners to moderate. Significant bugs / exploits must be reported through our suggestions Discord server, or to a developer / admin if this isn't possible.

Alt account abuse includes chatting on an alt while another account of yours is muted. They are, however, allowed for plot testing or anything else whilst in build / dev mode.

§5 Store

  • 5.1 Chargebacks/Refunds (Ban): Initiating chargebacks or refunds results in an immediate ban.
  • 5.2 Giveaways & Competitions:
    • 5.2a Scamming (Temp Ban): You must deliver promised prizes for giveaways or competitions.
    • 5.2b Non-DiamondFire Content (Temp Ban): Only DiamondFire store items or in-game content is permitted as a giveaway prize, outside of Discord Nitro.

§6 Account

  • 6.1 Impersonation (Warning – Ban): No pretending to be another user.
  • 6.2 Inappropriate Skin / Username (Ban): No inappropriate skins or usernames are allowed. A ban will be issued, which can only be revoked after the skin / name is changed.
  • 6.3 Bot Accounts (Ban): Unapproved bots or client automations are not permitted on the server. This includes adding new features significantly outside the approved scope. All bots, approved or not, must never send messages in public chat.

§7 Support Guidelines

  • 7.1 Support Staff Rules:
    • Requests outside the supportee's scope or build-only requests can be denied.
    • Pass sessions to a more knowledgeable Helper / SrHelper if you can't help.
    • Session topic must match the /support request; mismatch ends session.
    • Confirm understanding (ask "Do you understand what I’ve done?").
    • Sessions can be paused if needed - however, frequently pausing sessions might indicate session farming, which isn't allowed.
    • End sessions with /support kill if a supportee AFKs >= 1 min, report repeat offenders.
    • Report hostile supportees on Discord, or to a SrHelper / Admin.
    • Be considerate of other support team members - e.g. allowing newer JrHelpers or those in /support bad to take sessions before you.
  • 7.2 Supportee Rules:
    • No AFKing in sessions - use /support end first.
    • No requests for known code, jokes, or farming sessions.
    • Avoid queue-hopping - after 15 mins, ping support on Discord once.
    • Stay respectful and on-topic; end and reopen session for new issues.
    • Use /support question for coding queries only.
    • Report unhelpful or rule-breaking staff to SrHelpers or Admins.
    • Keep support reasons clear and useful (don't just put "code", or "help", try "scoreboard isn't sorted properly")
