Changing name affects rank?

If I change my Minecraft name will I lose my rank?

I was just thinking this because my username seems a bit too "Childish".

You won't lose your DiamondFire rank (Noble, Emperor, Mythic, Overlord). The rank is saved to your UUID.

Unfortunately, on plots that don't use player UUIDs to save variables, you will lose all data and start as a "new player" to that plot.
