Copying banners! plz help.

My friend is making a game and needs to know so I am asking for him:
How do I place a banner with patterns through code? He has tried copying NBT data but he says that doesn't work.
If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You can use the game action: clone region. It copies the banners pattern and places it wherever you want!
