Glowing Effect Question

I'm making a game which requires the glowing effect, however I have plans to make the effect colored and I have no idea on how to do that. Any ideas on how to do it?

I know you can do this in someway because I've seen games using colored glow before.

You can set Player's Name Color and when they glow, they will glow that color
