How to clear target entity

Somehow I managed to figure out how to make a gun-like system on my own, by finding the "get target entity" function. It works fine, but once you lock on that entity, you can't lock on another. Can anyone tell me how to clear the target entity (or any other method to change the entity that the weapon targets)?
