Can we make it so older players can't as easily gang up on new players?

I think we all might of had the experience of ganging up on others. Just look at the recent Command Geek situation. Also look at how Ottelino ganged up on me when I was on the Discord. It's just unfair. I was up against 6 people alone with no help when Ottelino ganged up on me. LIke 6 to 1 is that even fair? I know I will get the mandatory don't care messages but can we just let people not be ganged up on.

just checked all of otte's forum messages. literally the only time he mentions you is when you try to spark it up, or an offhand joke in the destroy a wish thread. not even including messages on the discord and this already looking kinda bad tbh

All of the "hate" (the double quotes mean that this is not true, remember that plz) you were getting from "ganging up" (double quotes once more) was because:
1. You were posting bad and/or mediocre memes
2. You were posting those memes not in #memes, where memes belong on the discord server of DF.
3. You were basically annoying (no offense but that is true and people can confirm that).

So thank y' kindly and please stop talking about the Ottelino situation because it was more than 6 months ago.

Regarding your actual post, I'm not sure how we could prevent older players from "ganging up" on newer ones. Older players will naturally know and have deeper connections with more players than new ones, and it's not something that we can really moderate. We can however moderate behaviour, and if someone is being disrespectful to you on the Discord or Minecraft Server, you can submit a report into the reports channel.

If they're breaking rules on the forums, then you can use the report button here:

Keep in mind that the memes channel is for OC only, so if you want to post non-OC memes it would have to go in #offtopic.

I can't remember the details very clearly seeing as this entire controversy was a while ago, but I do remember that the situation was poorly handled on the side of Roforb, the members of the DF Discord, and also the mods. People who are spamming memes should not be punished by players. Please leave this to the mods, as harassing/making fun of people can lead to some serious consequences. Looking back on it I did make some bad mistakes (cough Roforb Game 2021 cough) however I believe that I've grown as a mod and the next time that something like this (hopefully doesn't) happen I believe that it will handled a lot better, without the unnecessary amount of drama.

And again, it doesn't matter if you think the discussion before this has been civil, please just make sure not to go off course and stick to the nature of the thread without throwing out insults targeted at other players. Thanks
