Esc Allowed?

Would it be allowed to make something that repeatedly put a inverntory menu on your screen so when you press esc to exit it opens a "pause menu" that you can resume or quit which would kick you meaning its possible to leave? It shouldnt go against the rules as you still can exit the plot
