Is it safe to download/use?
This pop-up also appears when downloading other mods like OptiFine - are those safe too?

Yep, as long as you're downloading it from the official site (you are) then it's completely safe. Optifine is fine too.

Yes well, it’s not very easy to pickup on chat. And for someone who doesn’t know, it’s a bit hard.
