u r also inside of it and u r a sr ownerbut what about diamondfire unmoderated
ur admin (the ryan roo of dfu)u r also inside of it and u r a sr owner
df if ppl could have their own opinionsto be short with this:
no, i'm not transphobic.
the long explanation about my first confusing answer on discord, if anyone cares at all:
i was going to just answer "no", but i thought about it a little too deeply.
because indeed i felt some negative energy against some people (they are not in the DF community), even though they have not wronged me in any way.
i felt like i didn't like them because they "overdid it" with their profile, whatever this means to the reader.
naturally, this would likely include a bunch of people i didn't even meet,
and i wasn't about to say "it depends on the person" and go on a rant about how some people go crazy with it, making it their whole personality and it's a tad annoying.
so, i just said "it's complicated". because it kinda is. this made sense to midnight me.
what i forgot about, is that these people aren't just exclusive to trans, or even lgbtq (and any associated) communities.
i misinterpreted the question, thinking about it incorrectly, and following the "garbage in garbage out" rule, said a weird answer.
i apologize to anyone that genuinely thought i had anything against them simply because they chose to do something about their dysmorphia.
i may get your pronouns wrong from time to time because i forget/am unaware you transitioned. this is not hatred, it's just me being forgetful.
it's stupid to hate people for doing what they want to if it doesn't harm you in any way. it's like hating someone because they like pineapple pizza.
you aren't eating the pizza, they are eating the pizza. so why hold a grudge or whatever?
it's a silly analogy, but it still works: you aren't transitioning, they are transitioning.
this goes against what i said previously however, the whole "some people overdo it with their profile" paragraph.
but i don't go out of my way to spread hatred and make the person feel bad.
i just ignore them. keeping my opinion to myself. because you don't need to announce to people that you're a douche.
their choice to "make their profile how they want" doesn't affect me, so my distaste to how it looks shouldn't affect them either.
i hope this is clear enough. i'll reply here if you have any questions. (please do not wish me a happy birthday because this is very far from happy.)
It was controversial because, when prompted if he was transphobic, he responded "It's complicated." That doesn't look good, especially because DF has a very diverse and LGBT friendly community, so seeing a lack of basic support from a member of the staff team was unexpected and shocking to a lot. This was also coupled with a lot of people not having a very high reputation of him in the first place and some stuff in the past as well.Hello expert on transphobia here.
What the hell went on? From what I recall speeder was just defending a 3rd party df discord server that just so happened to include transphobic messaging. Correlation by association is not big poggers and I believe Speeder is right.
that wasn't even it.defending a 3rd party df discord server that just so happened to include transphobic messaging.
arent 66.6% of those three individuals also in dfcordIt was controversial because, when prompted if he was transphobic, he responded "It's complicated." While he was in DF Unmoderated (the discord you mentioned), which houses several transphobic individuals, this was not the main reason people were upset. Being in the server definitely didn't make him look any better, however.
You can see that the whole situation was caused because Speeder was on the staff team, which are held to higher standards than regular players. Notice that Mipoxa is unapologetically and openly transphobic, however he isn't being removed from DF as he isn't harassing any individual players. This isn't a situation of "correlation by association," it's merely DF's scrutiny for staff members.
(Also you're not an expert on transphobia, no clue what that even means)
