You wish for no wish, which causes a bug. While you cannot wish for more wishes, the devs never considered wishing for less wishes. Your wish sets wishes to 0. The number of wishes is decremented after wishing, but since wishes was 0 after your wish, wishes was set to -1. But wishes is an unsigned integer. So you now have 2^32-1 wishes.
