variable being chest parameters

(first of all, this isn't related to my last question) I'm wondering if it's possible to add people to lists or give them tags. Like, player does this, has new "cheese" tag, and then when the player does a certain thing, they could do something exclusive to that list/role/tag.

Yeah I know about that, but I looked and there isn't anything there about taking the player's current position in game, the thing your talking about is I'm guessing the right clicking thing, but that isn't what i'm talking about. .

I'm trying to make it so when you right click an item in your inventory, it would summon a mob at your location. I try doing it without the location hoping that it would summon where the player was, but that wasn't the case. Please, if anyone has knowledge on this then please tell me.
