How to add a custom sprint?

i want to have a custom sprint where you can only sprint for 4 seconds every 4 seconds, but cant figure out how
i have overlord btw

I know ppl managed sprinting using hunger bars
So maybe detect when the player is sprinting and then after 4 seconds make him lose hunger, then replenish it 4 seconds later
