People (including myself) have always complained about low-effort plots- survivals, skyminers, etc. But the thing is, these low-effort plots are usually concentrated around Youtubers promoting the server. Some YTer (who makes minecraft videos and inevitably has an audience of 10-12 year olds) makes a video, lots of new and unfamiliar players show up and start flooding the server with low effort plots.
But after a while, this slows down and stops. I was able to finally see this and realize that. There have been a lot fewer "low-effort" plots on trending. As new players either leave the server or assimilate into the community, they start making better games- and the community grows larger, meaning a greater variety of gameplay. It's a tradeoff: a few months of suffering through post-promo era, and then the server gets a little better each time. It's a natural process for the growth of the server, why limit it?
